My repo of life stories
View from where i live, Jeløy, Norway

I've always been fascinated by the power of personal narratives, those meaningful moments and experiences that shape who we are. Like a well organized repository of code, our lives are collections of stories, each with its own significance and lessons.

Over the years, I've come to recognize that my most valuable "contributions" aren't found in GitHub repositories but in the authentic exchanges and shared experiences with family, friends, and sometimes even strangers.

These stories whether they're about discovering the perfect tomato, forming unexpected partnerships with garden birds, or finding joy in a simple chicken sandwich reveal something essential about our human journey.

In this collection, I'm "committing" my experiences not to digital storage but to shared human understanding. Each entry represents a moment of growth, discovery, or connection that has shaped my perspective.

Just as developers collaborate on code, I invite you to reflect on these narratives, perhaps recognizing elements of your own story within them, or finding inspiration for new chapters in your life.

This repository isn't about perfection it's about authenticity and growth. Some stories are fully developed, while others remain works in progress. Some contain hard earned wisdom, while others simply capture moments of wonder or curiosity.

Welcome to my repository of life stories a living document of moments that matter.

About the author

I am curious, searching, reading, always learning. My journey is defined by parallel passions that have shaped my perspective on life.

My love for good, clean food began in 2006, though the seeds were planted much earlier by a mother who valued homegrown and homemade nourishment. This foundation gave me an appreciation for authentic flavors that commercial alternatives simply cannot replicate.

My relationship with technology started at age 7 when I borrowed a Commodore VIC20 already outdated when everyone else had moved to the Commodore 64. This began a technological evolution through the Amiga 500, 1200, and into the PC era when Windows NT 3.51 was cutting-edge. At 12, I purchased my first book on assembly coding: "A Practical Guide to Learning MC6800 Assembler Language on the Amiga." AsmOne (version 1.26) became my compiler and editor of choic an influence that lives on in my username, kaiAsmOne.

Literature has been another constant companion. While I hesitate to rank authors, Haruki Murakami and Gabriel García Márquez have profoundly influenced my appreciation for storytelling that transcends conventional boundaries.

Since 2016, I've been growing tomatoes, each season approaching with renewed optimism that "this year" will yield perfection. Instead, each season offers new lessons through inevitable challenges. This experience has reinforced my belief in nature's superior wisdom. If you want to discover what tomatoes truly should taste like, seek out non-hybrid or heirloom varieties grown outdoors, exposed to wind, sun, and the full embrace of nature.

I've witnessed this difference firsthand. A skilled commercial tomato grower in my neighborhood cultivates the same seeds as mine but in a sheltered plastic tent; sun exposed but weather protected. While his technical expertise far exceeds mine, the tomatoes from my weather beaten plants consistently deliver superior flavor. This observation reinforces my growing conviction: nothing competes with Mother Nature's complete system of growth and development.

These intersecting passions for authentic food, technology, literature, and working with natural systems rather than against them form the foundation of the stories you'll find in this repository.
